I sent an email to a friend who drives big-rig trucks about the Mexican trucks streaming in across the border. She sent me this:

"Teamster magazine did a big article about the Mexican driver's lives on the road and its not good. Dangerous and deadly for them.... emoticonBut ya know what? NOT my problem! I didn't do it and they need to fix their country rather than come and help to ruin ours.

Up here we have to deal with the Canadian ragheads. They are dangerous and totally above and beyond the law. Think the rules of the road don't apply to them.

NAFTA was a deal Clinton had to make when he got elected to make other deals happen but it was Bush engineered. And the Canadian ragheads had been doin their thing long before Clinton got in so he really can't be blamed although I am sure he is blamed regardless
The highways are not safe. One must drive defensively to survive. Add to that the blondes in beemers with cellphones (non-gender specific) who need to talk with their hands (-: Is it any wonder I work construction so I can stay in one area and mostly off-road eh?"

It's always interesting to hear her point of view...

As Jim Hightower explains it, is that “the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans possess more net worth today than the bottom 90 percent of us combined. Worse, these privileged few and their political henchmen have structured a new economic ‘normal’ of long-term joblessness, low wages, no benefits or worker rights, miserly public services, and a steadily widening chasm between the rich and the rest of us.” We must restore sanity to this nation.
